Tour Itinerary
4:00 PM – Hotel Pickup and Safety Briefing
Your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. After an introduction, helmet fitting for electric-scooter guests and a short safety briefing, your Hanoi adventure begins.
Hanoi Opera House and the French Quarter
Begin at the magnificent Hanoi Opera House, one of the city’s finest examples of French colonial architecture. Your guide will explain how French design influenced the development and appearance of modern Hanoi.
Trang Tien Street and Hoan Kiem Lake
Continue along elegant Trang Tien Street and Dinh Tien Hoang Street beside Hoan Kiem Lake. From here, see Turtle Tower, one of Hanoi’s most recognisable landmarks.
Ride Through Hanoi’s Old Quarter
Enter the vibrant streets of Hang Ngang and Hang Dao before passing Dong Xuan Market. Shops, street vendors, pedestrians and streams of scooters fill the narrow streets, creating the fascinating rhythm known as Hanoi’s “organized chaos.”
Cross the Red River During Rush Hour
This is one of the tour’s most memorable moments. Electric-scooter guests may cross the historic Long Bien Bridge, while Jeep guests normally travel via Chuong Duong Bridge, depending on traffic and local operating conditions.
Watch thousands of vehicles move together through the evening traffic like a flowing river of lights and sound. It may appear chaotic, yet everything follows Hanoi’s unique rhythm.
Local Bia Hoi Experience
On the other side of the Red River, stop at a neighbourhood bia hoi shop. Enjoy a fresh glass of Vietnamese draft beer with roasted peanuts while sitting among local residents—a simple but authentic Hanoi experience.
Vietnamese Market Challenge
Visit a local market and take part in a fun interactive challenge. Your guide will teach you a simple Vietnamese phrase and provide a small amount of money to purchase an ingredient from a market vendor. Selected ingredients may later be used in your home-cooked dinner.
Evening Views from Chuong Duong Bridge
Return towards central Hanoi via Chuong Duong Bridge. Enjoy evening views across the Red River and see the historic Long Bien Bridge illuminated against the city skyline.
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Thanh Nien Road
Pass the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum before continuing along Thanh Nien Road, a beautiful tree-lined route separating West Lake from Truc Bach Lake.
7:00 PM – Home-Cooked Dinner with a Local Family
Arrive at a local home and enjoy a traditional Hanoi-style dinner. Share food, stories and conversation with your host family while experiencing the warmth of Vietnamese hospitality.
8:30 PM – Return to Your Hotel
After dinner, your guide and driver will accompany you safely back to your hotel, concluding an unforgettable evening of Hanoi street life, culture and local interaction.
